What We Believe

  • We are created in God’s image, loved by Him and are of worth to Him. (Genesis 1:26-27; John 3:16)

  • We have sinned and disobeyed God’s standards by going our own way. (Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:23)

  • Sin separates us from God and condemns us to eternal hell. (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23)

  • God loved us enough to provide a way to restore us to Himself. (II Peter 3:9, I Timothy 2:4)

  • God provided Jesus Christ, His Son, to forgive, save, and restore us by His death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead (John 14:6, I Peter 2:24, Romans 5:8-9; I Corinthians 15:3-4)

  • Jesus Christ was fully God and man. (John 10:30, John 14:9, Philippians 2:5-8)

  • We received what Jesus Christ has done for us by faith and we cannot earn our salvation. (John 1:12, Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • By faith we must live to obey God in every area of our lives. (Romans 6:11-14, Matthew 16:24)

  • As part of a local body of believers, it is our responsibility to love other Christians and share Christ with those that do not know Him. (John 15:12, Colossians 3:12-14, Matthew 28:18-20)

  • The Bible is the infallible Word of God and is our authority for faith and living. (II Timothy 3:16-17)

  • One God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-20, II Corinthians 13:14)

  • Our Lord Jesus Christ will return to take believers to be with Him and judge the world. (I Thessalonians 4:13-17, II Peter 3:1-14)

  • We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between one man and one woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance. (Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5, 13; Lev. 18:1-30; 1 Cor. 5:1; 6:9; Heb. 13:4) We believe that the only Scriptural marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. (Gen. 2:24; Rom. 7:2; 1 Cor. 7:10; Eph. 5:22-23)

The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe. We do believe, however, that the foregoing Statement of Faith accurately represents the teaching of the Bible and, therefore, is binding upon all members. (Reference – New American Standard Bible)
